Equity in Cancer Care - New Article in FORUM Magazine of the German Cancer Society

In the latest issue of FORUM Magazine, published by the German Cancer Society, the founding director of the Institute for Diversity Medicine, Prof. Marie von Lilienfeld-Toal, provides insights into the equity of cancer care in Germany and examines structural inequalities and past efforts to address them.

The article examines whether the goals of the WHO’s guiding principles have been achieved, how disparities can manifest in the healthcare system, and what consequences they entail. Finally, it outlines possible courses of action.
