Online lecture series "Wheel of Visibility" starts again!

Starting May 8, 2026, the Institute for Diversity Medicine will resume its online lecture series, “Wheel of Visibility.” Every Friday from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., the series will explore science, practice, and community within the context of diversity medicine.

The online lecture series “Wheel of Visibility” in the summer semester of 2026 explores how individual characteristics and structural conditions influence health and medical care. The goal of the series is to highlight existing inequalities, reflect on them critically, and discuss them with students, research assistants, and interested members of civil society.

The lectures take place online on Fridays from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. and consist of a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute discussion.

The event series is divided into three tracks:

Science: Literature- and research-based lectures focusing on
current scientific discussions and guidelines

Practice: Insights into specific treatment and care contexts with
a special focus on practical application in everyday life

Community: Perspectives from affected individuals and interest groups that
highlight experiences, critiques, and demands regarding the healthcare system
