2nd Bochum Symposium on Diversity Medicine

In November, we held our second Bochum Symposium on Diversity Medicine, which offered a diverse program of lectures, poster presentations, and discussions.

Guideline on respiratory infections in blood cancer revised 

The findings of the past ten years have been incorporated into the new guideline, which has been published in the renowned journal "The Lancet Infectious Diseases".

Ina Otte wants medicine that thinks for everyone

Factors such as gender, age, physical condition or socio-economic background influence how diseases manifest themselves and which therapies are effective.

Institute for Diversity Medicine

At the Institute for Diversity Medicine at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, we research how diversity shapes health. We do this in interdisciplinary projects that include biological, social and cultural factors. We offer teaching programmes for students and researchers, network with clinical partners and work on medicine that is scientifically sound and accessible to all.
